ISLAMABAD: Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai on Friday met prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan at his Banigala residence and congratulated him over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) victory in the general elections 2018.
The ambassador called on Imran to “felicitate and congratulate him on his victory in the General elections,” a PTI tweet said.

The foreign dignitary said a delegation of Japanese officials will visit Pakistan soon.
Imran is receiving congratulations from all over the world since his party swept elections 2018. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani are also among those who congratulated the PTI chairman.
Imran, in his victory speech, made it clear that he wanted good relationship with all of the country’s neighbours.
