LAHORE: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) lawmaker Ali Raza Abidi on Wednesday announced to quit his party and his seat in the National Assembly as protest against merger with the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) saying this was
not what he believed in and stood for.
The lawmaker took to Twitter a
nd wrote “Ladies n Gentlemen from the Holy land of Karbala, I announce to quit MQMP n resign from NA251 as this is
not what I believed in n stood for.”

Earlier, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) on Wednesday announced to set aside differences to form a united political force after merging both the parties.
