LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Saturday took suo moto notice of alleged illegal custody of children by father.
Justice Nisar took suo moto notice after hearing the plea of Iqra Muzzafar, while it also summoned a report from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) pertaining the matter.
According to Iqra, her husband and father of the children fed her with sleeping pills and took six-month-old Daud and 2-year-old Duryab to Malaysia 8-months ago.
Moreover, the mother claimed that she had gone to Malaysia to recover her children but her husband refused to hand over the custody.
Iqra added that the Malaysian embassy had issued red-warrants of her husband, but the interior ministry took no action.
She also presented pictures of her children and a copy of the red-warrant before the Supreme Court.
