ABBOTTABAD: At least five persons including a woman have been killed, while 18 others injured as 22 wheeler trailer smashed six vehicles including a trailer coming from opposite direction near Havelian Mor located in Abbottabad.
A speedy 22 wheeler trailer going from Abbottabad to Rawalpindi rammed into a trailer coming from opposite direction, right away. It also crashed into two vehicles, two passenger vans and a van leaving five persons dead, 18 others were injured near Havellian Mor area early Saturday morning.
The Rescue teams accompanied by native conducted the rescue operation. The bodies and injured were rushed to RMC Havellian and Ayub Medical Complex for medico-legal formalities and treatment.
The doctors gave medical treatment to minor injured persons and discharged them from hospital. The doctors said that the majority of injured are in critical conditions.
DPO Havellain Khurshid Khan said that initially four persons died, while two injured succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. He said that injured have been shifted to hospitals located in Abbottabad and Havellian.
Meanwhile, the traffic flow leading to Karakoram Highway was badly disrupted due to traffic accident.
